Marlys Vance Vasterling – Owner
Born in Orange County and raised on Balboa Island, it is only natural that Marlys followed in her Mothers footsteps. “The apple never falls far from the tree” starting her career in 1982, in the Real Estate business, it is evident that integrity prevails.
Who better to share the lifestyle of Newport Beach then someone with firsthand experience? Everything from building sandcastles in her front patio as a child to water skiing in the back bay at lunchtime in high school, spending weekends sailing to Catalina on a Schock 22 with her father and winters skiing in Big Bear with her family and friends.
Marlys started her working career on Balboa Island in retail in the 60’s (including selling donuts at the famous “Dads Donuts”). After helping to operate a restaurant in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands she returned home to manage the front office of a well-known landscape architect firm. In 1982 Marlys decided to join her Mother’s office in sharing the joy of this wonderful location, both selling and leasing property in Newport Beach and Orange County area.
Since then, Marlys has achieved her Brokers license and has joined the ranks of REALTORS who have earned the California Association of REALTORS Graduate, REALTORS Institute GRI real estate designation. The GRI is considered by many real estate industry professionals to be the most advanced and comprehensive training program available to real estate agents in North America. After Lora’s retirement, Marlys and her team continue to maintain the family business, specializing in sales, leases, vacation rentals and property management.
